IAIA10: Transitioning to the Green Economy -- Contributions of Impact Assessment

Geneva, Switzerland. 30th Annual Conference of the International Association for Impact Assessment. Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 August, 2009 To transition toward green economies, assessments must first demonstrate the types of green investments that best fit local, national, and regional environments. Impact assessments have the power to influence and shape green policy, which will in turn play a major role in addressing the global crises. IAIA10 will focus on the following sectors that have the potential for sustainable green investment: Agriculture Industry Tourism Cities Transport The objective of IAIA10 is to provide policy makers with tools to help address the global crises. In light of the urgency, the time for action is now. The response by conference participants and IAIA must be both practical and creative.

EECOM 2010 Conference: Diversity, sustainability and environment

Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, B.C. The EECOM 2010 conference will focus on the diversity present within the field of environmental learning, both culturally and practically. We therefore encourage high quality, collaborative proposals which celebrate diversity in perspectives, methods and/or cultural contexts for the 2010 conference. Abstract deadline November 1st, 2009.
